Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is feeling anxious in Emmerdale soon as Tom King (James Chase) does all he can to avoid ‘getting help’.
In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Tom spent the day manipulating Belle after punching her in the stomach.
This horrific action came during another argument between the couple. Afterwards, Tom tried to make Belle forgive him, but she said she needed space and sent him away.
When Tom returned home, he span a sob story so Belle would eventually feel sorry for him – and it worked. He said that sometimes he doesn’t trust himself, and really doesn’t want to lose Belle because he’s already lost so many other people close to him.
At the end of the episode, Tom told Belle that he would make an enquiry about getting help for his mental health tomorrow. She accepted it and trusted Tom but in this new video, she’s starting to worry.
As Tom comes downstairs, we see Belle on her laptop. She is kind and gentle in her approach when talking about Tom getting help and researching things like CBT and counselling, but he makes an effort to avoid the subject by talking about food.
Tom tells his wife that he meant what he said about speaking to someone, but Belle can’t help but wonder why he’s not making an effort to do something as soon as possible.
We know full well that Tom has no intention of talking to a doctor about his problems.
When he eventually goes to see Liam (Jonny McPherson), Tom will tell the doctor that Belle is the one with anger problems, not him.
