Emmerdale's Belle Dingle and Tom King's wedding could lead to a shock death

Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle and Tom King’s wedding could lead to a shock death if past storylines are anything to go by.

History could be about to repeat itself amid fears of a dark abuse storyline for Tom and Belle, with their dramatic wedding day hitting screens on Thursday night. There’s two key storylines possibly resulting from the big day, which could see characters in danger.

While spoilers have not hinted at a death for any of the wedding party or guests, and no one appears to be leaving the show, could another tragedy strike a Dingle or King wedding? A number of ceremonies on the soap involving the two families have led to tragedy or murder over the years.

Now, there’s every chance we can expect death or drama in the latest Dingle wedding, as Belle prepares to marry Tom. Fans are concerned that controlling Tom will hurt Belle again after he left her with a head injury late last year.

Spoilers have revealed Tom fumes at his new bride over her family’s antics on their big day, leading to tense scenes on their wedding night. But could this lead to a shock death, perhaps further down the line on the ITV soap?

Might Belle be in danger if Tom escalates his abuse, or might Tom himself be killed off in scenes echoing the exit of his villainous father Carl King years ago? Or perhaps Caleb Miligan could face a deadly revenge as his affair with Tracy Robinson, his nephew Nate’s wife, is exposed to the whole family including brother Cain Dingle.

Back in 2012, Chas Dingle’s wedding day to Dan Spencer ended with the murder of her ex Carl at the hands of killer Cameron Murray. Now spoilers for next week confirm that Belle and Tom do not die in the latest episode of the show, but could one of them face death in the fallout to their wedding day?

Other Dingle weddings have seen death and destruction too as far back as the 00s. Butch Dingle died from his injuries from the bus crash, moments after marrying partner Emily. The pair married in the hospital after Butch learned he would not survive back in 2000.

Then there was Belle’s mother Lisa Dingle’s sad death from a terminal illness back in 2019, on the day of her wedding to Zak Dingle. Another Dingle wedding that led to death was Debbie Dingle’s, with a helicopter crash killing Val Pollard and Ruby Haswell.

That’s not all though, as Vinny Dingle’s father was killed in a lorry crash and explosion on the day of his wedding to Mandy Dingle. As for the Kings, Tom’s uncle Matthew King died in 2008 after attempting to run over his brother Carl, only to nearly hit his partner Anna.

Matthew died on his wedding day as he swerved past them both and crashed through the windscreen. Matthew’s dad Tom King, Tom Jr’s grandfather, was also killed on his wedding day back in 2006.

After creating a number of enemies, Tom was shoved out of a window and murdered by son Carl. So as you can see there’s been plenty of death across the weddings of both the Kings and the Dingles, so might tragedy strike once more?
