Charley Webb departed the show in 2021, leaving the role of Debbie Dingle after 19 years.

But now fans are sure she’s making an epic comeback to the Dales.

Writing on a web forum, fans pointed out how Zak, who was played by the late Steve Halliwell, is supposed to be living with her, so she’ll likely be at the funeral.

They also pointed out how the cancer gene is in the Dingle family, with Faith dying of breast cancer and Chas recently diagnosed.

Cain could also be diagnosed with cancer, given there’s a high chance he’s carrying the family’s BCRA2 gene which could prompt Debbie’s return.

Finally, with Charley’s ex David Metcalfe also out of the show fans have speculated this could open a door to a comeback.

Discussing the potential comeback further, one fan commented: “I wouldn’t be surprised if she comes back, but I feel she isn’t even come back for Zack’s funeral…”

Meanwhile, Last November, Charley and David announced their shocking split via social media.

At the time, they both released a joint statement on their Instagram accounts, where they insisted they will remain friends.

Charley’s version read: “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time.”

The pair originally cemented their loved-up union in a ceremony in 2018.

After they tied the knot back in the noughties, the duo welcomed three children – Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four.
