Emmerdale spoilers: Mandy Dingle rocked to the core as she discovers Paddy Kirk has cheated with Chas

Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) gets caught up in a moment with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) in Emmerdale soon and ends up sharing a kiss with her.

We know.

In case you need reminding, Paddy and Chas’s marriage ended after her affair with Al Chapman was exposed. Afterwards, Paddy spiralled and struggled so much with his mental health, he contemplated ending his life.

In the present day, Paddy is in a much more positive place. He is in a relationship with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), lives with Liam (Jonny McPherson) and Bear (Joshua Richards), and is happily co-parenting young Eve with Chas.

However, upcoming episodes of the ITV soap will remind us that the former couple will always have feelings for each other, as Paddy’s attempt at supporting Chas turns into something more.

When Chas only allows herself two weeks off on the Woolpack rota, Aaron (Danny Miller) worries that she’s not facing up to the reality of her operation.

After a long chat, Chas finally opens up to a supportive Paddy about her concerns surrounding the operation.

As Chas panics and starts to fear the worse, Paddy comforts her. However, as they get caught up in the familiarity of the situation, the pair begin to kiss before Paddy realises he’s made a huge mistake.

Hapless Paddy reacts in a way that leaves Chas feeling hurt. Later, feeling the guilt, Paddy reveals to Mandy that he kissed Chas, but is unnerved by her eerily quiet reaction.

At the hospital, Chas puts on a brave face in front of Aaron as she’s taken into surgery.

As the family wait for news on Chas, where will the kiss leave Paddy?

Could Mandy’s reaction suggest she is prepared to move on, or will Paddy face the consequences later down the line?
