Manpreet Sharma makes life-changing discovery about newcomer Ella in Emmerdale
ELLA Forster has had a fresh start in the Dales after losing her job, thanks to Manpreet Sharma’s help.
But the Emmerdale GP may come to regret giving Ella a chance as she makes a massive discovery about her next week.
Sparks are flying at the local surgery next week in Emmerdale as Ella Forster and Liam Cavanagh are closer than ever.
The newcomer portrayed by former Coronation Street actress Paula Lane made her arrival in the eponymous ITV village earlier this year and quickly rose to the ranks of fan favourite.
But like many others before her, such as Nicky Miligan, Ella is suspected of being too good to be true.
While she may still be hiding a massive secret, Ella is unable to hide her budding romance with Liam from Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) – her boss.
As regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based program will recall, Manpreet gave Ella the position of secretary at the surgery after she’d been fired from her previous job.
Ella was sacked for turning her back on her boss to save Mandy Dingle from public humiliation.
Coming up next week, Manpreet calls a team meeting with a chastised Liam (Jonny McPherson) when she catches him flirting with Ella again.
But despite her best efforts, Manpreet can’t do anything against their chemistry and romance continues to blossom later on between Liam and Ella.
Liam is then delighted when Ella agrees to go on a date.
But could Manpreet get in the way?
Could Liam be in danger?
Manpreet may have had some food for thought about Ella after a recent conversation led viewers to believe that the newcomer could be linked to serial killer Meena Jutla, Manpreet’s villainous younger sister.
Meena – played by Paige Sandhu – was responsible for several murders in the Dales and even held Manpreet hostage before trying to get rid of her.
She was thrown behind bars in early 2022, after being sentenced to a total of 75 years in prison for her actions.
During her time in the village, Ella has grown closer to Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), one of Meena’s victims, and a conversation about Belle and Tom King’s ill-fated wedding sparked concern among fellow Emmerdale residents.
During the exchange which recently took place in The Woolpack, Dawn and her husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) recalled how their own big day had been sabotaged by Meena.
Soon after, Ella was eager to question Manpreet about her sister but she was quickly shut down by none other than Liam himself as Meena murdered his 18-year-old daughter in July, 2021.
What sordid truth could Ella be keeping from those around her?
