Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Liam Cavanagh’s new love interest – and it’s not Ella Forster

Since the end of his marriage to Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) in Emmerdale, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) has built up quite the reputation for himself.

He’s attempted to flirt with Charity (Emma Atkins), built a connection with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) after sharing a kiss with her, and had a shocking affair with colleague Wendy (Susan Cookson).

Relationship drama is light relief for Liam after a traumatic few years involving Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) and the death of daughter Leanna. Recently in the ITV soap, his history with women was topic of conversation during a team meeting at the surgery.

Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) had picked up on Liam developing a relationship with newcomer Ella (Paula Lane). Believing she could nip things in the bud before it got out of hand, Manpreet brought her team together for a chat about ‘appropriate behaviour in the workplace.’

While it seemed as though Manpreet’s ‘team building’ exercise was done to address a few problems, some Emmerdale audience members are starting to wonder if she was trying to prevent something happening between Liam and Ella out of jealousy.

‘Does Manpreet want Liam for herself’, one fan wondered while on X, while another echoed the comment and said: ‘I actually think Liam & Manpreet would make a cute couple. Much better than Wendy or Chas!!’

Following comments from Paula Lane, where she spoke about a love triangle storyline for Ella, could we be looking at one involving her, Liam and his last flame Chas?

Or will it end up being Manpreet?

When it comes to Liam and Manpreet, they have been through a lot together in recent years. They supported each other throughout the ordeal involving Meena, not to mention Liam saving her and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) from being gassed to death in an old barn.

Could Charles (Kevin Mathurin) have his heartbroken if Manpreet falls for Liam’s charm?
