Where you know Amit’s mystery associate Dee from as former Emmerdale star returns to soap in new role
Actress Claire Cage will star alongside Amit, played by Anil Goutam, for a new storyline which will see Amit try and fleece Pollard out of his hard earned money
Amit is causing all kinds of trouble for the residents of Emmerdale – but he’s not working alone.
Tonight, it was revealed that Amit’s plan to fleece Pollard of his money was actually part of a bigger plan as he needed money to pay back a mysterious lady called Dee, who popped by the village to warn him she wanted her cash back.
Little is known about Dee and how dangerous she is, but fans will likely be less than concerned about Amit as he was the one who shockingly killed his brother Rishi, leading to an exit from the soap for Bhasker Patel.
Claire Cage, the actress who plays Dee has actually appeared in the soap before, having starred back on the Dales based show in 2017 where she played an actress called Kath, who had been hired by Robert Sugden as he attempted to get his share of Home Farm.
Kath posed as a potential client for the Rebecca and Christie, who needed someone to put some money in and keep the Estates business afloat but Christie soon worked out that all was not how it seemed with Kath. Later, actress Kath returned in March 2018 where she acted as a solicitor for Jimmy King, who wanted to get Joe Tate back for trying to fleece him and Robert.
Is Amit putting Pollard in danger?
Claire has also had a number of roles in various big shows, including BBC show Sherlock and drama New Tricks. She has also starred in Being Human and even played a defence barrister in Coronation Street back in 2014. She has had guest roles in the likes of Holby City, Waterloo Road, Doctors, Casualty and most recently, she had roles in Best Interests and The Way.
Fans have been fearful it could be the end of the road for Pollard, as they’re convinced Amit may strike again. Amit has had his eye on targeting Eric but it seems like Amit has plans for Eric and being able to fleece him of his cash, but at the last minute, Eric manages to pull away from the deal but he’s now worried about what Amit is doing.
If he ends up finding out what happened to Rishi and how dangerous Amit is, is there trouble ahead for Pollard, and is he at risk of becoming the second victim of Amit after Rishi’s death a few months ago?
