Emmerdale star reacts to ‘dark’ Ella theories – and it’s an unexpected response
Ella Forster’s (Paula Lane) real identity has got all the Emmerdale fans talking.
When she first arrived in the village, Ella established herself as a fiesty character who wasn’t afraid to say what was on her mind.
After making friends with the likes of Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Dawn (Olivia Bromley), focused turned to romance for Ella, as it became apparent she had a crush on her colleague Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
This prompted Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) to get involved. She staged a very awkward intervention in order to try and stop Liam and Ella from seeing each other, worried about the implications Liam’s next relationship would have after his affair with Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson).
When Manpreet then had lunch with Ella, she was gently put in her place when Ella said that she is single and so is Liam, so they wouldn’t be hurting anyone if they started dating.
With that, Liam and Ella’s first date was attending the pub quiz.
Afterwards, just as Liam and Ella left the Woolpack, they shared a kiss.
However, when Ella spotted Kerry (Laura Norton) watching them, she dashed off, leaving viewers suspicious she is hiding something.
With little teasers being dropped here and there regarding Ella’s secret, fans can’t help wonder if she is somehow connected to Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu), the serial killer who worked alongside Liam, Manpreet and Wendy as a nurse.
During a recent Q&A on her Instagram, Paula Lane reacted to the theory Ella’s storyline involves Meena.
‘Opinions on Meena Jutla?’, the question stated, prompting Paula to respond and say ‘I’ve been howling at all the speculation!’.
‘Ella does have a past that is going to be revealed. She does have responsibilities elsewhere outside the village that mean a great deal to her and I’m so looking forward to exploring this further’, Paula Lane said recently, teasing Ella’s ulterior motives.
‘When something/someone so important to her is put at risk she will fight so hard to protect that situation. This is a part of her we’ve yet to see and there is currently a lot at stake and a lot to fight for!’
