Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) confirmed to her family in Thursday’s (May 2) episode of Emmerdale that she’s leaving the village.

This week, Chas decided to wear prostheses for the first time, following her double mastectomy operation.

Things were going well until Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) arrived and, in true Kerry style, managed to put her foot in it completely.

She was quick to comment on Chas’ new look, and though her intention was to compliment her, it left Chas feeling more uncomfortable than ever.

Determined not to let it get her down, Chas then gave an impassioned speech about how there was much more to her than just the size of her breasts, explaining how she was proud of her body for everything it had survived.

Further proving her point, Chas swiftly removed her prostheses and let it be known that this was who she really was, and she was proud of it.

In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Kerry headed into the pub to clear the air with Chas.

Focus then turned to Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) making an apology to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb), a task she – for some reason – finds incredibly difficult.

Moira and Ruby had spent the day bickering after Moira drove past Ruby and splashed her with a puddle.

Ruby then decided to head to Leeds for some retail therapy. However, on the way, she came across Moira again on a country road.

Both refusing to move and give way, Ruby and Moira were there for ages.

When Will (Dean Andrews) got caught in Ruby and Moira’s feud, he made them move after explaining he needs to get to hospital for baby Evan, his grandson.

Later, in the pub, as Moira and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) sat down and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) ordered drinks, Chas revealed some news.

She announced she’d be taking a break from life in the Dales for a few weeks to see Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) up in Scotland. She said her daughter Eve would be staying with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), and that she was looking forward to the rest.

When Ruby entered, the arguing between her and Moira continued, which left Chas a little apprehensive about leaving her family.

After a word from Caleb, Ruby stepped forward and actually apologised to Moira, but it then became apparent it was all a show.

So, with Chas off to Scotland soon, what state will her family be in when she gets back?

Can they really keep the peace?
