ITV Emmerdale fans ‘rumble’ Tom King’s downfall as Belle Dingle baby twist causes concern

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they’ve rumbled Tom King’s downfall after a worrying Belle Dingle scene.

The ITV soap is tackling a coercive control storyline with the characters, and fans have seen Tom isolating and manipulating his partner. With his vile behaviour worsening recently and him having her under surveillance, it’s been revealed that the character will soon turn violent in a heartbreaking development.

While new spoilers also tease “terrifying” scenes on the way next week at a dinner party, when we see a glimpse of what Belle faces at home. Only recently, Tom has been pressurising Belle to start a family with him but the latter isn’t ready for it, as she wants to focus on her career and is also concerned it could impact her mental health.

On Thursday night, Belle was worried that she could be pregnant as she was seen searching on her computer if it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill. During Friday’s episode, Belle took a pregnancy test with controlling Tom hovering over her.

The test was negative, leaving Belle relieved but Tom was disappointed to which he took it out on Belle, gaslighting her as he stormed out the house to see his university mates. After Tom’s outburst, Belle went for a walk with Mandy Dingle, where she opened up to her about Tom wanting a child and she not being ready. Later, Tom came home where he tried to put doubt in Belle’s mind, saying they needed to try for a family now as they could have fertility issues and it would make him happy having a child, pressurising her to agree.

The episode ended with Tom making Belle, who reluctantly agreed to try, throw her contraceptive pill in the bin as he said: “Well, you won’t be needing the pill anymore!” However, when Tom headed to the shop, Belle quickly fished the tablets out but is it only a matter of time until Tom finds them? Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers are hoping that Mandy could be the one to bring Tom down as Belle opens up to her.

One person said: “#Emmerdale Please tell Mandy, Belle!!!!!”, a different account put: “#Emmerdale if only U knew Mandy, if only Belle would be honest…” while another added: “Surely Mandy can see and tell Belle’s not happy.” Elsewhere, viewers are terrified that Tom will find Belle’s pill, writing: “I hope Tom doesn’t find out Belle is still taking the pill” while another added: “Tom is putting pressure on Belle. You can see she’s anxious & she certainly doesn’t feel ready to have a baby! #Emmerdale.”
