Emmerdale spoilers: Gabby mortified as lonely villager stuns her with a kiss
Cute new couple alert, or is someone about to get an Emmerdale slap?
Gabby (Rosie Bentham) has bemoaned being single since Emmerdale’s whole Nicky (Lewis Cope) fiasco but though she might want to change her single status, this is not what she had in mind.
Things have been a bit weird lately, with Tom (James Chase) fawning all over her and declaring her hot as part of his game to disrupt Belle (Eden Taylor Draper). At the same time, he’s been urging Vinny (Bradley Johnson) to see her as a potential first conquest.
In a bizarre ruse to get Vinny away from Belle, Tom has vowed to help him lose his virginity, and he thinks Gabby is the one to do it.
Having never seen Gabby as a sex object, Tom is very much encouraging Vinny to adopt that gaze.
With all of Tom’s meddling, it causes Vinny to confront the elephant in his room – that he’s lonely. He confesses as much to Paddy (Dominic Brunt), who reports back to Mandy (Lisa Riley).
So now, instead of just Tom meddling, Vinny has his mum meddling too.
Concerned for her son, Mandy asks Gabby to spend some time with him and get his megawatt smile back on his face. It does the trick, and the pair have a great time hanging out at the Hide.
But what Gabby intends as a pal being there for a pal, inexperienced Vinny misreads as a flirt. Seizing the opportunity, Vinny lunges at gobsmacked Gabby for a kiss.
He is instantly humbled when Gabby makes it very clear they do not feel the same way. Embarrassed Vinny desperately tries to apologise, but Gabby reveals that she is only hanging out with him because Mandy and Paddy meddled. What a punch to the gut.
Vinny hasn’t felt so humiliated since Tom callously mocked him publicly for being a virgin. Paddy feels guilty for his part in Vinny’s shame and anger, but perhaps it’s not all for nothing.
Laurel has a little word in Gabby’s ear about not always going after the same type of guy seeing as it hasn’t done her too much good so far. Maybe she’ll start to see Vinny in a new light too.
Could Gabby be the one to pop his cherry?
