Emmerdale spoilers: Worrying scenes for pregnant Belle Dingle in fire horror as death ‘sealed’

Belle Dingle will find herself in terrifying danger this week on Emmerdale when a fire breaks out.

The Dales resident has been struggling as of late, following her new marriage to vile Tom King. Tom has been coercively controlling Belle, gaslighting her and has even physically abused her on occasions.

However, she is adamant she wants to stay with him, desperate to make her marriage work as she is convinced he can change, with him constantly assuring her that what she is experiencing is her fault and not his.

In shocking scenes next week, Belle realises she is pregnant. Whilst most would be thrilled to be expecting, she is horrified and hides her pregnancy from Tom. She tries to see what her options are, before eventually Tom finds out about the baby.

Having always wanted kids, he is happy that they have a baby on the way – but Belle cries, and it’s not tears of happiness. Later, she is fuming when Tom lets the cat out of the bag to Rhona about the pregnancy, but she eventually becomes OK with it when Tom tries to talk her round, and it isn’t long before more residents find out about their news.

Tired, Belle decides to take a nap with Piper. Tom has locked her in the house as part of his controlling abuse, but as they nap upstairs, a fire begins in the kitchen thanks to Belle leaving the hob on. A tea cloth catches fire – but will Belle and Piper make it out ok?

Tom has been controlling and abusing Belle for weeks, even gaslighting her into returning to the Dales when she went to seek help for her mental health. He made poor Piper ill to get her back, with Belle rushing home to be with her beloved pet.

Whilst she thinks Piper has made a quick recovery, fans know that Tom had been injecting Piper to make her poorly as part of his ploy, with fans slamming the scenes as “too much” and threatening to “switch off” the ITV soap.
