By the end of that year, they had already settled into their first home together. Then, in 2022, they announced their engagement. Max shared that he had proposed to Kris. The actor described it as the ‘happiest moment of his life.’ On Instagram, Max expressed that while he wished he could give Kris the world, he could only promise his heart.

The ITV star expressed, “He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart. HE SAID YES!” Later, Kris shared that Max had incorporated a piece of his late grandmother’s cherished locket into the design of the engagement ring. On social media, Kris expressed his overwhelming happiness.

He penned, “I love him beyond words, we laugh every single day, and I’m so, so grateful that he came in to my life.” He mentioned that Max had asked his mother for any jewellery belonging to his grandmother, and she had given him the locket, which was then used in the centre of the engagement ring.
