The high drama continues in soapland next week, which proves a big one for a number of our favourite serial dramas, with the return of some longterm legends and the departure of another.

Neighbours royalty Toadie says his final goodbyes to Ramsay Street as he exits the long-running Amazon soap after three decades in a moment that’s truly not to be missed.

Grab those tissues, it’s going to be heartbreaking.

And on the subject of icons, EastEnders welcomes back Bianca Jackson, who is determined to rescue her sister Sonia Fowler, who is currently in prison for a crime she didn’t commit.

Over in Emmerdale, Tom King makes his return too – though in some ways he never really left, as he sets out to target Belle Dingle, taking her prisoner in chilling scenes.

And speaking of taking icons hostage, Roy Cropper finds himself in a similar situation over in Coronation Street.
