Emmerdale star shuts down rumours surrounding Nate Robinson’s exit

ITV Emmerdale's Amy Walsh reveals main concern about filming with famous husband in new TV project - Mirror Online

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has responded to rumours surrounding Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) sudden exit.

The Tracy Shankley star stopped to chat with Metro.co.uk alongside husband and EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith at the Cure Usher Ball, hosted by Emmerdale co-stars Laura Norton and Mark Jordon.

Earlier this month, Nate left the Emmerdale village behind for a new job in Shetland, but not before his entire life took a huge turn.

Nate had been prepared to give his relationship with Tracy another chance, and had invited her and daughter Frankie to move with him.

However, after Caleb Miligan (William Ash) revealed that he’d seen Nate kissing Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb), Tracy called off the move and dumped Nate, refusing to believe him when he protested his innocence.

Viewers will know that Moira and Nate didn’t actually kiss, but actually Moira had suffered an absence seizure as a result of her brain tumour.

Later that week, Moira ended up accidentally setting the barn on fire, and many viewers suspected that Nate would be caught up in the blaze in a shock death.

However, it was later revealed that there was no one else in the barn, suggesting that Nate really did go to Shetland – something that left fans surprised, due to the understated nature of his exit.

When we asked Amy her thoughts on fans’ theories, and whether we’ve seen the last of Nate, she joked that there wasn’t much she could say.

‘All I know is he’s in Shetland having a lovely time. So, watch this space! You’ll see!’ She teased.

Could Nate be set to make his way back to the village?

Speaking about his exit following his final scenes, Jurell previously said: ‘The character of Nate and myself share a mindset of wanting to go onto a next chapter, but also just being emotional and sad over leaving everything behind. That’s how I feel as an actor, in terms of leaving a show that I love.

‘I would speak to some of my colleagues and say it’s a weird one, because it’s not like I hate my job, it’s not like I hate my surroundings or the people that I’m working with. I love everyone and I love the job.

‘I’m excited for my future but I’m also sad to be leaving behind such a beautiful show and beautiful people.’
