EastEnders legend ‘confirmed’ to expose Tommy Moon’s abuse of Kat Slater

Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) has been keeping a low profile in recent EastEnders scenes in a bid to keep her family and friends from seeing her injury – though someone may soon be set to work out what has been going on.

Kat was left injured when son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) punched her in shocking scenes.

Tommy’s bad behaviour has escalated over recent weeks, and Kat was at the end of her tether when she found out that he had attempted to steal money from the till in the cafe.

When she tried to talk to him about it, Tommy was defensive, arguing that he was trying to provide for the family as Kat wasn’t doing a very good job.

When he went to leave, Kat tried to stop him, before he lashed out, leaving her with a black eye.

In tonight’s episode, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) quizzed Tommy on where Kat was, and suggested taking her some food.

Tommy told Jean that Kat was ill after eating something dodgy, and that it was best if she stayed away.

This immediately set alarm bells ringing for Jean, who had heard a different story.

She later explained her concerns to Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), pointing out that Kat had told her she had Covid, which was why she couldn’t see anyone.

Harvey tried to reassure her, insisting that if he was ill the last thing he’d want would be to see other people, and tried to brush off the change of story as Kat not wanting to worry the family.

However, Jean seemed unconvinced by the attempt at an explanation. Could she be set to find out what is really going on between Kat and Tommy?
