The events of Halloween week continue to loom large over the Walford residents in EastEnders next week.

We saw Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) become increasingly suspicious of The Six, who all played a part in the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) last Christmas.

The women protested that they had nothing to hide, but he insisted on being with them when they were re-interviewed by DCI Arthurs on the events.

Convinced that they still had something to hide, he stole ex-wife Suki’s (Balvinder Sopal) phone and coaxed a confession out of Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth).

With the ladies gathering at the Panesar residence under false pretences, it became clear that their huge secret had fallen into the wrong hands.

Hoping that some affection would win him round, Suki invited her dastardly ex-husband to move back in – leaving everyone in a state of shock.

It later transpired that Nish had agreed to take the wrap for Keanu’s murder if she agreed to a relationship with him again, though Suki planned to cut contact once he was locked up.

However, things took a sour turn when Nish revealed he’d overheard Suki explaining to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) about her plan. He told her that he felt like he could ‘live forever’ and wouldn’t be going to the police after all.

Furious, he attached her, wondering why she couldn’t love him. Luckily, Avani (Aaliyah James), Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Chowdhury) and Stacey burst in and protected her.

After a pep talk from Avani about setting Suki free, Nish gathered The Six in the pub as the police arrived.

Understandably, the women believed that he’d turned them in – but they actually arrived to arrest Nish. He told DCI Arthurs a fabricated story about how he hired some brutes to attack Keanu.

Despite him finally caving, he still begged her not to marry fiancée Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

With the ordeal seemingly over, he was driven out of Albert Square as The Six watched a Halloween fireworks display that illuminated Walford in their signature dress colours.

In upcoming scenes, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) has a surprisingly change of heart of the situation.

She notices the devastating impact Nish’s incarceration has had on his grandchildren, though Stacey reasons that Avani and Nugget are better off without him.

Is this the last we’ve seen of the twisted businessman?
