Chas revealed the cause of her cancer is the faulty BRCA2 gene, and that Cain, Caleb and Aaron could have it too.

In a further blow, it also meant they could pass it on to their children.

As Cain took in the news, he said: “Bl***y hell”, but his words left some Emmerdale viewers shocked.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “Never heard Cain swear before.”

Another added: “Cain using filthy language.”

A third tweeted: “Cain has some of the best sarcastic lines.”

Meanwhile, spoilers have revealed that Chas will make a big decision about her illness next week.

But she first makes a big discovery when Vinny Dingle accidentally reveals to her that Aaron has no intention of getting the BRCA2 gene test.

Fuming at Vinny, Lydia intervenes and tells Aaron about Chas’ appointment that day.

Soon, a nervous Chas is bolstered by Aaron’s support as he joins her for the hospital appointment and she reveals her intention to have a double mastectomy.

Later, Chas admits how afraid she is and is comforted as she finally gives in to tears.

In another twist, Aaron eventually requests his referral for the gene test.

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
