Emmerdale Tom’s solicitor’s DNA link to villager as fans ‘work out’ who he’s related to

Emmerdale fans are convinced that they have worked out the real identity of Tom King's solicitor Ollie, and that he is related to one of the villagers in a huge DNA twist

Emmerdale’s Tom King, played by James Chase, has a solicitor named Ollie, portrayed by Alistair Toovey, who fans believe is related to someone in the village due to a significant DNA twist.

Ollie was introduced this year as a friend of Tom’s and has since been hired as his legal representative following an incident where Tom’s wife Belle Dingle, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, attacked him with an axe in self-defence.

Tom had been tormenting Belle for months, making her life unbearable until she finally managed to escape. However, after attacking Tom, she now faces the possibility of imprisonment. This is something that both Tom and Ollie are keen to ensure happens.

In a recent turn of events, Tom’s car was vandalised after he was released without charge by the police following another interview about his abusive behaviour towards Belle.

In the episode aired on November 4, Tom was discovered outside a church, battered and bruised, claiming he had been assaulted.

He declined medical attention or police involvement, stating he didn’t see who attacked him, reports Leeds Live.

It was later unveiled that Tom had orchestrated his own attack, with Ollie carrying it out in an attempt to frame Belle’s brother, Sam Dingle, played by James Hootoon. A jittery Ollie suggested that it might be time for Tom to seek a new solicitor.

However, Tom became threatening and implied he would use some leverage he has over Ollie unless he continued to cooperate. It seemed that Tom was hinting at a secret about Ollie that could be exposed if he decided to withdraw.

Emmerdale enthusiasts are convinced they’ve cracked the case regarding Ollie’s ‘true’ identity, suspecting a family connection to the Dales. A fan speculated on an Emmerdale Facebook group, suggesting: “What if solicitor Ollie is Tom’s half brother? His mum Colleen could have had an affair years ago with Ollie’s dad? “.

The theory has gained traction among the soap’s followers, with another adding: “Yes! And Tom’s been blackmailing and abusing him all this time as well.” Another chimed in, saying: “I don’t think he’s dodgy, and that would make sense if they were related.”

Supporting the twist, another viewer commented: “That would be a good twist, I think it will be him that brings Tom down, someone no one is expecting.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
