Alright folks, let’s dive into this intriguing theory. If we go back to episode 3, we see a hooded, masked figure sneaking into Gary Border’s hospital room and tampering with his IV. Whatever substance was injected hasn’t taken effect yet, but my guess is that it will kick in while Andy is either in the room or just stepping out, leading to her possibly being framed or implicated.
Now, a lot of people have mentioned the possibility of Jasmine being behind this, and I get why—she’s been shady and had a motive in the past. But one theory that popped up recently is that Morris could be the one responsible. This theory has some merit, especially if we’re diving into season one callbacks. Remember, Morris was having an affair with Jasmine and was part of the scheming trio, along with Bellamy and Jasmine, who plotted to use Andy to take down her law firm.
Though Jasmine went to jail after trying to kill Gary and Andy, we never got closure on Morris and Bellamy. Could they be seeking revenge now? It’s possible, but at the same time, Gary wouldn’t be an obvious target for Morris unless it’s some twisted sense of revenge for Jasmine, even though she’s the one who tried to kill him first.
Another interesting point is the comment by Crystal, who mentioned in an interview how shocked fans would be when they found out who tampered with Gary’s IV. Morris wasn’t on anyone’s radar initially, but if he is indeed behind it, that would be quite the twist.
What’s more, there’s the idea that maybe more than one person is involved. Perhaps the person who tampered with the IV isn’t the same person who stabbed Gary. This could mean that Morris, Jasmine, and even Bellamy are working together again, each playing a role in this revenge plot. I know this sounds like a DC animated twist, where there’s more than one culprit behind the mask, but it wouldn’t be far-fetched for this show!
Gary might survive the IV tampering, but someone else could come back to finish the job. And with Robin sending Andy to Gary’s room, if she’s caught by the media or the feds, this could cause even more trouble for her. Imagine the headlines if Andy is spotted visiting her ex in the hospital while her current fiancé is a politician! That’s definitely a storyline we could see playing out.
