There is sad news for Emmerdale fans today as the Yorkshire-based soap has been pulled from its usual slot on ITV this evening amid a schedule shake-up.

Instead of the usual trip to the Dales, viewers will be met with a UEFA Nations League match between Greece and England, with coverage starting from 7pm.

Emmerdale will return to screens tomorrow night at the usual time of 7.30pm.

It has been a busy week so far on the ITV soap, with the truth about Vinny Dingle’s (Bradley Johnson) parentage having finally been revealed.

After Tina Dingle’s (Samantha Power) plan to blackmail Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) in exchange for her silence backfired, Tina told Vinny that she was his biological mum, leading him to disown Mandy for her lies.

Things took a turn when Tina agreed to take a substantial pay-out from Vinny to leave the village , only to find that she’d been double crossed.

Tina later dropped a bombshell when she revealed that she needed the money for her other children – but was she telling the truth?

Elsewhere, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) caused chaos when he commandeered one of Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) trucks and crashed it into some of his stock.

In upcoming scenes, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is set to be left compromised when Tom King (James Chase) threatens to air the vet surgery’s dirty laundry unless he gets his job back.

Will Paddy give in to his demands or risk the wrath of Tom?
