Eric has had a tough time of late, what with his worsening Parkinson’s symptoms caused by a shortage of the medication he requires. One episode saw him make a scene in the surgery as he demanded an appointment, while he was also found by Caleb wandering around the village in his pyjamas.

Emmerdale spoilers: Brenda and Eric’s engagement party
It’s been a tough year for Brenda and Eric, with the death of Brenda’s stepson Heath Hope and relationship troubles between the pair. However, the couple seem to be back on track now and scenes this week see the pair get engaged with plans for a Christmas wedding.
Next week, at their engagement party, Eric gives a speech and announces he and Brenda will be going on a cruise for their honeymoon. Brenda is overjoyed with the news.
With the engagement party in full swing, Rodney is curious about how Eric suddenly has lots of money. Pollard plays wry, but then he suddenly panics and quickly leaves the party.

Having witnessed Eric’s sudden exit at the party, Leyla is suspicious. She swiftly exits the party too and follows him home.
She is later gobsmacked when an ashen Eric makes an admission. But what exactly has he confessed? And could he be in trouble?
