Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) really showed her true colours in Thursday’s (March 7) episode of Emmerdale as she forced Caleb Milligan (William Ash) to destroy Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh).

This week, Ruby tried to develop a plan that would involve removing Tracy from Caleb’s life for good. While she loves Caleb and knows he feels the same, Ruby has grown jealous over the emotional connection he has with Tracy.

After a confrontation with her husband, Ruby told him that he needed to prove he loves her.

In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Tracy was busy preparing for her presentation at The Hide. She has worked hard to build up her nursery business and was very proud as she stood and addressed the audience, but remained unaware of what Caleb had planned.

Essentially, Ruby told him to completely ruin Tracy – and he did just that.

Speaking to the people in the room, Caleb brought up Tracy’s past as sex worker, and said he wouldn’t want his child to be left in her care.

As tears started to form, Tracy was horrified when Caleb also revealed their affair.

Watching it all unfold was Nate (Jurell Carter). While Tracy’s betrayal broke his heart, he obviously has a lot of love for her and wasted no time in grabbing Caleb to put a stop to his awful comments.

As a broken Tracy headed home, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain (Jeff Hordley) worked together to sort Caleb and Ruby out.

After Nate and Cain confronted Caleb, he returned to Mill Cottage and was faced with a very angry Chas.

While Caleb is very good at making mistakes, at the heart of his character is the longing to be part of a family. Caleb grew up in care and spent years searching for the Dingles – so to be told by Chas that Faith (Sally Dexter) would be ashamed to be his birth mother absolutely crushed him.

As Chas left, Caleb confronted Ruby and told her because of her actions, he has potentially lost his family forever.

Can he really get them back onside?

Or has he gone too far this time?
