If I could turn back time… I’d remind Kerry of the time she killed a man (Picture: ITV)

Cheeky Geordie Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) returned to Emmerdale village with a bang this week and soon launched an attack on Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) following her Christmas murder – seemingly forgetting she was also responsible for someone’s death!

Head to toe in her Cher tribute act costume, Kerry swanned into the eponymous village in the back of PC Swirling’s (Andy Whitaker) police car after being thrown off the cruise ship she was working on for allegedly stealing jewellery.

Whilst she remained adamant to daughter Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and her boyfriend Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) that she hadn’t been on the rob, tonight’s (8th March episode) proved otherwise as she phoned up a mate wanting to get rid of the bling.

Tonight’s instalment also saw Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) return to her position at The Woolpack, wanting to get her life back on track after suffering a breakdown in the wake of Harry Harris’s (Robert Beck) murder.

Kery was responsible for Frank’s death back in 2019 (Picture: ITV)

Gangster Harry was Kerry’s daughter Chloe’s (Jessie Elland) adoptive father who held Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) hostage on Christmas Day.

Wanting to save Mack, Charity stormed the derelict warehouse and during a scuffle, accidentally shot Harry dead.

After her explosive return to the ITV show, Kerry joined her family in the pub for a drink and came face to face with former step-daughter Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) who has been living there since her dad Dan (Liam Fox) was imprisoned.

Kerry warned the girl to be careful of the Dingle family’s niceties and then began to fume at Charity for the trauma she imposed on Chloe, mentioning the murder and the time that she was left hanging off a cliff edge.

As emotions began to grow, Mack warned the returnee to stay clear of Charity, but Kerry hoped that her therapy would help her see the man he really was.

Whilst she held a grudge over the festive killing, we couldn’t help but think of the time Kerry and Amy ignited a huge blaze in the former Sharma & Sharma confectionary factory which caused the death of Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) in 2019.

The two had broken into the unit to try and delete CCTV footage after stealing fundraising money, and after fiddling with electrics the blaze broke out.

Frank had rushed into the building to save daughter Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh), who was trapped in the store room and met his untimely demise in a huge explosion.

Given the huge amount of drama that happens each year in the village, we can (almost) forgive Kerry for forgetting her involvement in this one, but surely it’s only a matter of time before somebody else remembers?
