Emmerdale’s Ruby dark past ‘exposed’ as fans predict harrowing ‘abuse’ storyline
Fans of Emmerdale were in a speculative mood on Friday night (March 8), as many seemed to believe that fiery Ruby may have a sinister past as she continues to slowly destroy Caleb
Emmerdale viewers are convinced they’ve worked out Ruby Fox-Miligan’s dark past as they seem to think she may have abused her estranged husband, Caleb Milligan.
This week, Caleb and Ruby’s relationship was put through a series of tests as Ruby continued to push Caleb to demonstrate his love to her. On Thursday’s show, Ruby convinced Caleb to ruin Tracy’s business presentation- even though he was initially reluctant to do so.
On Friday’s visit to Emmerdale, Kim exposed to Caleb that Ruby had plans to bring him down and needed her help. Although Caleb was devastated, Ruby again managed to convince him that she still loved him and wanted their relationship to work.
But with things beginning to look increasingly toxic between the pair, fans started to believe that Ruby may have abused Caleb before. Heading straight over to X formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their thoughts.
One social media user asked: “Did Ruby abuse Caleb physically?” Another penned: “Ruby really is so controlling towards Caleb. I’m telling you an abuse storyline is coming. She talks like she owns him.”
A third chimed: “Nicky’s comment about ‘being here before’ and worrying Caleb had hurt Ruby makes me think something HAS happened before … But the other way around.”
A fourth added: “What the hell does Ruby have over Caleb,???? They need to leave why stay in the village when everyone hates you?”
Meanwhile, another fan theorised: “I don’t think they have changed his character, I think he left Ruby as the relationship was toxic and HE was actually suffering from domestic abuse……she has now returned and he is back in that situation again. I think this is part of the reason he is crying out for the love and acceptance of his family.”
As Ruby continues to slowly destroy her husband and make his relationship with the Dingles worse, Kim appeared to make a scathing comment on Friday’s show which could indicate viewers’ suspicions to be true. When Ruby headed over to Home Farm, she was clearly annoyed that Kim exposed their plan to take Caleb down.
But Kim told Ruby she couldn’t trust her. She also said she could see how “obsessed” Ruby was with her husband and she didn’t want any part of it.
