‘work out’ who Peter is in cahoots with in mission to take down Kim

Kim Tate (Claire King) attempted to use her financial advisor Peter to get at Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) a few weeks ago in Emmerdale, but now the tables have really turned.

In the middle of a feud with her partner, Kim tried to get the upper hand last week, tasking Ross Barton (Michael Parr) with ridding the village of her hubby once and for all before he had the chance to get his hands on her cash in the divorce.

Ross led Kim to believe that Will was dead, which left the Home Farm businesswoman devastated as she came to realise that she was still holding a candle for him.

When Will revealed that he was, in fact, still alive, Kim decided to swallow her pride and put a stop to the divorce proceedings, hoping she and Will could give their marriage another go.

Will was taken aback and, wanting nothing more than to recapture what they had, he and Kim spent the night together, optimistic about their fresh start.

Ross was amused to hear of the pair’s reconciliation and made light of the situation, telling Will that he’s letting Kim walk all over him.

Will was left with food for thought and, when Kim asked him to call his solicitor and destroy the dossier he’d been keeping on her, he started to wonder if that’s all Kim was interested in.

After some time to think, Will told Peter – who he’d been in cahoots with previously – that the plan to take Kim down will carry on as normal.

Peter, meanwhile, made a phone call of his own, telling the person on the other end of the call that their ‘little puppet’ was back in play, with ‘operation destroy Kim Tate’ officially a go.

It was a huge twist that’s left Emmerdale fans with one question – who was Peter on the phone to?

As expected, theories are circulating online, with Jamie Tate and Joe Tate’s names being mentioned often by audience members desperate for answers.

‘Whilst I love the fabulous Kim Tate, please let it be Joe Tate, coming back for Kim’, a user of X said.

Invested in the storyline, another wrote: ‘But who’s the puppet master?????????? PLEASE ME MY PRINCE JAMIE OR EARL JOE.’

Fans are also wondering if Peter may be somehow connected to the late Graham Foster, who knew Joe and also told Caleb Miligan (William Ash) how his dad Frank Tate died.

They’re all strong possibilities – but will we find out who was on the end of that call soon?
