ITV Emmerdale’s Angelica’s true plan for Tom King ‘sealed’ ahead of exit
Emmerdale aired a twist on Monday night as Angelica King made contact with her imprisoned cousin Tom King after his recent arrest on the ITV soap, but what is she up to?
There could be a twist in Emmerdale, as Angelica King reached out to the prison her cousin Tom King was being kept in.
The teen heard her father Jimmy King debating whether or not to have his phone number added to the list of contacts, as requested by Tom. He’d just disowned him days earlier after finding out the truth about his abuse towards Belle Dingle.
Tom’s wife Belle finally got justice as she helped the police to track him down and expose his ᴄʀɪᴍᴇs, including stalking her and coercively controlling her. With everyone turning their back on him, his attempt to flee was thwarted and now he faces a plea hearing.
Despite being encouraged to plead guilty, Tom is still keen to take down Belle meaning it could all go to trial. But there was a bit of a twist this week amid Tom’s hopes to get through to Jimmy.
He initially wanted new flame Amelia Spencer on his side, but she’d finally seen through him. His attempts to get Jimmy as his contact did not go well either, and in the latest episode he was seen toying over it.
Jimmy felt bad suggesting prison would be tough on him with no support, and he wasn’t sure he could abandon him. His wife Nicola hit out at this though, keen for Tom to accept responsibility for his actions.

Angelica heard everything though, and was able to get hold of the online form to submit and approve a phone number to be added to a prisoner’s official call list. She secretly filled it out putting down an email address and a phone number, pretending to be Jimmy.
But what is Angelica up to and will she be caught out? Spoilers for later this week reveals Tom does make contact with her, and the cousins speak.
Tom manipulates Angelica, and tells her to try and win Jimmy round to his defence. But will Angelica do as he says, and will she help him and possibly cause more drama for Belle?
Perhaps there is more to this though, and maybe she’s not actually helping Tom at all. While spoilers suggest she will be on his side, what if she’s actually working against him in a bid to get him to plead guilty?
Could the teen be tricking him so that he ends up accepting his crime? After all Tom is leaving the show with actor James Chase no longer filming, so perhaps Angelica is the key to bringing him down.
