Confused EastEnders fans claim huge character has ‘disappeared’ from the Square saying ‘are they recasting her?’
A former star appeared to confirm the return of their iconic character last week
EASTENDERS fans have been left baffled by the “disappearance” of a huge character from Albert Square.
The confused EastEnders viewers have taken to social media to share their theories about what has happened to them, after being involved in one of the biggest storylines in recent years.
Lexi Pearce, played by Isabella Brown, is the young daughter of the late Lola Pearce [Danielle Harold].
Earlier this year Lexi lost another parent following Lola’s tragic death to terminal cancer last year.
Her dad Ben Mitchell [Max Bowden] ended up in prison for fraud in March.
Now concerned fans have asked if the character of Lexi is being recast following a long absence on screen.
One wrote: “I’ve only just noticed recently that we haven’t seen Lexi in what feels like months. When do you reckon we will see her back on our screens?”
Someone commented: “They’re probably recasting her.”
Pointing out that the character of Lexi is around 11-years-old, someone else reasoned that young actors after often not seen for large periods of time.
They wrote: “It’s not unusual for the young cast to disappear for awhile, I think you only see them if it is part of the story line, if not you just don’t.”
Last month The Sun revealed iconic character Phil Mitchell [Steve McFadden] – who is Lexi’s grandfather – will battle suicidal thoughts over Christmas after feeling abandoned by his family.
Someone else commented: “I imagine we’ll see her around Christmas time especially with the upcoming Phil storyline.”
