Emmerdale favourite badly b.e.a.t.e.n up in unexpected clash with show legend
Emmerdale spoilers follow for Thursday’s (December 5) episode that is now available to view on ITVX. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 7:30pm.
Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) was brutally a.t.t.a.c.k.e.d by a vengeful Ross Barton (Michael Parr) after the truth about the stolen money came to light.
Ross, as viewers know, had been accused of the theft by fight organiser Jade (Twinnie-Lee Moore) when in reality it was Mack who had got his hands on the cash.
The farmhand used the money to treat Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) ahead of Christmas, as well as giving some to Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) to provide for son Reuben, who he misses dearly.
But his actions ultimately came back to bite him, with Jade kidnapping April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) to teach Ross a lesson, dangling the teen from the multi-storey carpark where her mum Donna (Verity Rushworth) d.i.e.d a decade ago.
Upon learning of April being in danger, Mack and mate Aaron (Danny Miller) swooped into action, handing over the remaining funds to Jade, who ultimately let April go.
Ross was livid when he came to realise that it was Mack who was in possession of the stolen cash and thus when April was out of danger he headed to Jacob’s Fold to confront his nemesis.
Iɴ ᴛʏᴘɪᴄᴀʟ Rᴏss ғᴀsʜɪᴏɴ, ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇᴛᴜʀɴᴇᴇ ʀᴇsᴏʀᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴠɪᴏʟᴇɴᴄᴇ, ʙʀᴜᴛᴀʟʟʏ ᴘᴜᴍᴍᴇʟʟɪɴɢ Mᴀᴄᴋ, ᴡʜᴏ sᴛʀᴜɢɢʟᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ sᴛᴀʏ ᴏɴ ʜɪs ғᴇᴇᴛ ᴀs Rᴏss ᴘᴜɴᴄʜᴇᴅ ʜɪᴍ ᴏᴠᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴏᴠᴇʀ.
Charity rushed to her husband’s side, ordering Ross to stop his unwarranted a.t.t.a.c.k, but Ross refused to listen and instead pushed Charity onto the floor beside Mack.
In v.i.o.l.e.n.t scenes, Ross went to attack Mack once again but he was caught doing so by Moses, who was left terrified of his own dad.
Will this finally be the wake up call Ross needs in order to be step up? Will he be able to make amends for what he’s done? Or has he simply gone too far this time?
Charity certainly reckons so, with the Woolpack landlady telling her ex that he will never see his son again after this.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
