The 42-year-old actor took to his Instagram stories on Saturday morning to show off the extent of the damage after the scary incident. He showed his followers the wreck of his car, which was pulled over on the motorway after being hit by Scania lorry.

The footage showed the lorry before panning over to the passenger side of his vehicle, which appeared all battered from the collision. He initially wrote: “I got hit by a lorry!!! Done the side of my car. F**k.” Thankfully, Joe went on to confirm he is okay following the ordeal. In a follow-up post to his two million followers, Joe posted: “Don’t worry I’m ok!,” before joking: “You should have seen the lorry! lol.”

All suited and booted, the actor shared a message to show he was doing fine. After giving fans a tour of his dressing room, he then shared a snap of the arena’s Christmas tree. He joked: “Having a lay down. But can’t get Phill Mitchell dressed as Captain Hook out of my head!!” He also added two crying with laughter emoji faces.

Speaking of his role as Buttons in the stage production, Joe previously said: “I’ve never quite made it to Prince Charming level yet. I’m playing a character called Flip Flop. At Christmas, that’s the best character. My kids, they’re going to come down and they’re going to watch it. I’m going to make sure they all laugh. The whole family will definitely be coming. We’re going to try and find it hard keeping them away from from the theatre. My mum, all of mine and Stacey’s lot, they were more excited about it than me.”

His kids were in the audience for Friday’s edition. Taking to her Instagram stories to share her excitement, wife Stacey Solomon shared the family’s excitement. She gushed that the kids were beyond excited to see him in action as Buttons, before saying all the family were ‘so proud’ of him.
