Beyond Paradise’s Kris Marshall reveals he’s already filmed 2025 Christmas Special – before this year’s has even aired
He also issues an update on the next series of the show.
BEYOND Paradise star Kris Marshall has revealed that he’s already filmed the 2025 Christmas Special.
This is before the 2024 Christmas edition of the popular spin-off has even been aired on BBC One.
Kris, 51, first made his debut as DI Humphrey Goodman in Dᴇᴀᴛʜ In Paradise in 2014.
After he departed the series in 2017, he returned to the franchise last year to reprise the role in Beyond Paradise in 2023.
The drama is set to return to BBC screens later this month, but he told Virgin Radio that production for next year’s Christmas special has already been completed.
Speaking on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with The National Lottery, he said: “We’ve actually just finished filming Christmas 2025. So I’m actually one Christmas ahead.
“[We finished] literally last Friday, last week.”
Chris couldn’t help but ask: “You’ve been guaranteed a third series. Have you filmed that as well?”
To which the actor confidently replied: “Filmed that as well… I may have dropped a spoiler that I’m not supposed to.”
Adding: “There are murders in series three. There’s another spoiler!”
The 51-year-old actor previously starred in Love Actually with the likes of Keira Knightley and Martine McCutcheon.
But Kris confirmed that he hasn’t even watched the cult christmas flick in its entirety.
Kris exclaimed: “Do you know what? I’ve never actually seen it all the way through.
“I’ve seen the beginning about 20 times, I’ve seen the end about 20 times, but I’ve never seen the whole thing through.”
This comes after fans got their first look at the brand new Australian spin-off, Return to Paradise.
The new show sees DI Mackenzie Clark (Anna Samson) as she returns to her hometown of Dolphin Cove.
