Emmerdale spoilers reveal what happens to April in ‘most unimaginable’ storyline
Emmerdale spoilers have teased what happens to April Windsor this Christmas that results in a 'horror' and 'unimaginable' storyline for the teenager on the ITV soap
New spoilers have revealed what happens to April Windsor on Emmerdale this Christmas, after “horrible” scenes were teased.
While much of the details and the storyline are being kept under wraps, it has now been revealed in spoilers that 15-year-old April goes missing. Earlier spoilers hadn’t revealed this, and had only teased something shocking happens for her father Marlon Dingle.
Now it’s been confirmed that that ‘shock’ is his daughter going missing, seemingly on Christmas Day. It’s not yet clear where she’s gone and whether someone has taken her, and if she’s ok.
What spoilers do reveal though is a frantic search begins to find missing April as she vanishes in upcoming episodes. With no sign of what has happened to her, Marlon heads up to her room to speak with her only to find her gone.
It comes after weeks of rebellion for the youngster after her kidnap ordeal and her finding out about how her mother Donna really died. After outbursts at her father, scenes will also show April rebelling and drinking alcohol, as well as causing turmoil for other characters.
After another row at Christmas, Marlon goes to make amends with his daughter only for her to disappear. It had been teased to The Mirror earlier this year that a harrowing new storyline was planned involving April’s family, and it could run on for at least 10 months.

Now the soap has confirmed April’s disappearance, with the teen feeling troubled and alone. Marlon will struggle with her disappearance, and soon the rest of the village find out and begin a desperate search for April.
Marlon actor Mark Charnock recently confirmed to The Mirror that the storyline would see his character face “unimaginable horror”. He told us: “I was very upset reading the scripts. Obviously it’s hopefully going to be a moving story but the scripts were so strong, you could see the writer’s personal investment in a lot of this stuff. I was speaking to the producers and everybody’s like… it’s huge, isn’t it? It’s a huge thing. It’s the most unimaginable thing. Horrible, horrible.
“He goes up – and she’s gone. There’s that moment that I can only imagine, that blank space where she’s supposed to be on that day of all days. It’s not a building horror it’s just like [claps] Full 10. There’s nothing right about that picture, her empty room on that day, no matter what they’ve been through there’s no way that room could or should be empty. And she’s gone.”
He added: “He wonders whether she’s been kidnapped again. Obviously your brain goes everywhere. But that’s as much as I can say right now. He goes to Bob first and goes to see other family members. Ross. There’s an instant little circle of panic that doesn’t help. It escalates, this storyline, so this is just the beginning.”
