ITV Emmerdale ‘reveals’ who exposes Anthony as violent Ruby showdown teased

There may have been a hint as to who will trigger Anthony Fox’s downfall on Emmerdale.

After Anthony’s sickening secret was revealed, as well as what really happened to his daughter Ruby Miligan, new spoilers have teased a violent showdown. Not only that, but they’ve hinted Ruby might expose the horrendous child s.e.x.u.a.l abuse she suffered at the hands of Anthony decades ago.

It’s been revealed she confides in a particular family member and “breaks her silence”, while it’s not entirely clear what she says and how much she reveals. It could be about something else, including her fling with brother-in-law Cain Dingle, but it’s heavily hinted that what Ruby shares is linked to her abuse.

Chas Dingle will be concerned about her sister-in-law’s erratic behaviour over Christmas, and as the New Year approaches she is determined to get to the bottom of it. She questions Ruby over her actions, wanting to know what is wrong.

Ruby has been drinking heavily for weeks, and as she grows agitated she leaves Chas concerned once more. The spoiler reveals that as she talks to Chas, she eventually breaks her silence – so is this the moment she exposes Anthony to Chas?

If it is the case, it could be someone other than Ruby that orchestrates Anthony’s downfall and exposes him to the family. Chas would obviously be supportive and respect Ruby’s wishes if the doesn’t want anyone else to know, but might Chas target Anthony and eventually trigger his comeuppance?

It’s not yet clear, but if Chas does find out the truth we’d be willing to bet she wouldn’t let him get away with it. Perhaps breaking her silence would also encourage Ruby to tell husband Caleb, and expose Anthony’s vile behaviour for once and for all.

Viewers learned last week in harrowing scenes that as a teenager, Ruby was sexually abused by Anthony. A flashback to her 16th birthday showed her beg Anthony to leave her alone, before he sexually abused her once more.

There’s now fears from viewers that Ruby’s daughter Stephanie is the biological child of Anthony, not Caleb. Caleb has always believed Steph to be his child, not knowing the harrowing truth about Anthony’s abuse.

Things reach breaking point this Christmas it seems, as Ruby ends up threatening her father with a knife warning him to stay away from her. Whether she will end up hurting him remains to be seen, but just a few episodes later there’s a discovery for Anthony.

Anthony learns a secret that, according to images, leaves him reeling. But what does Ruby have to tell him, and is it linked to Steph?
