Emmerdale Angelica baby daddy ‘exposed’ as fans figure out tragic pregnancy twist
Emmerdale's Angelica King has confessed to driving the car the night Heath Hope died – and now with her parents Jimmy and Nicola conspiring to cover it up, fans think there's a twist
Emmerdale fans think they’ve discovered a paternity twist in the ongoing Angelica King saga – and they’re sure the 14-year-old is pregnant after confessing she was driving when the car crashed.
After initially blaming Cathy Hope for the crash, Angel admitted to her mum Nicola that she was behind the wheel. Now terrified she’ll go to prison, her dad Jimmy has considered covering the whole thing up and blaming Cathy for her twin Heath’s death.
But fans are sure Angel has another get out of jail free card – that she could be hiding a pregnancy, or at least pretending to. Worst still is there’s a tragic twist with the potential baby daddy. Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – some suggested the late Heath could be Angel’s baby daddy if the pair got together before the crash.
The twist would bring a new grandchild into the world for Bob Hope, and maybe even start a new story arc after the death of his son. One social media user suggested: “My bet is Angel is pregnant (or says she’s pregnant) and that Heath was the dad… that’s how she’ll avoid prison. Don’t think they’ll send her down cause they won’t wanna lose a young actress #Emmerdale.”
But another followed up: “I just feel like they can’t get away with many more teen pregnancies though after Gabby and Amelia lol, it’ll be Cathy and April next.”
Over on Reddit, fans thought Angelica’s crush on Heath could have caused the crash, with one user writing: “Angel had more reason to do it too, she fancied Heath, she’d of course do it to impress him!”
In Monday’s episode (January 22), Jimmy fumed: “Who stole Wendy’s car? Whose idea was it to drive with an unlicensed and uninsured driver? Cathy!” Later in the episode, Cathy confessed to Brenda: “I don’t want to go to prison. I’m scared.”
The police are still completing the forensic tests to determine what happened in the crash, with Cathy desperate for the cops to put an end to her torment. She added: “I didn’t think I’d care what happened to me.”

Jimmy coached Angel through her lines, telling her that her fingerprints were found on the wheel because she grabbed it to stop Cathy from crashing. Jimmy worried his daughter could face three years behind bars – while Nicola wasn’t on side.
“You saw what prison did to Belle, Angel won’t survive it!” Jimmy warned his wife. But fans think Angel would be getting what she deserves – while Cathy escapes jail after losing her brother.
