Inside EastEnders star Scott Maslen’s life off-screen with stunning wife and lookalike son after park brawl controversy
The star recently faced controversy over a disagreement with a member of the public while out walking his dog
EASTENDERS fans have long crushed over Jack Branning in Albert Square – but off screen actor Scott Maslen leads a different life to his alter ego.
It’s only a few more days until EastEnders tune in for the show’s festive special – though Scott’s character won’t be front and centre unlike last year.
Away from Albert Square Scott Maslen, who plays Jack, has a very different life compared to his police detective counterpart.
While Jack is a notorious ladies man – who just last week confessed to cheating on wife Denise with Stacey Slater – Scott, 53, is happily married to his stunning DJ wife Estelle Rubio.
The happy couple got together in 1999 and tied the knot in 2008, with a loved-up Scott telling HELLO! at the time: “I am associated with being a bit of a Jack the Lad because of the parts I play, but I don’t understand people who cheat, and I cannot be with a friend who cheats.
“I want a long-lasting kind of love and I believe I will have that with Estelle, it’s been a very intense period for us both but it was the most beautiful day of my life.”
He and Estelle welcomed son Zak in 2001. Now 22-years-old, Zak splits his time between Barcelona and London and is studying at university.
Whenever Scott and Zak post snaps and videos together on social media, fans go wild for how alike they are.
And when he’s not acting or spending time with the family Scott is partial to a bit of fishing and often shares his catches on Instagram.
Scott’s character Jack was one of the seven men who were teased to be involved in the EastEnders Christmas Day murder storyline last year.
Earlier this year Scott fought with a disabled dog-walker in a row over picking up poo in a park.
MS sufferer Michael Kelly spoke to cops after accusing the star of fracturing his eye socket in London.
He told the actor, who denies starting the brawl: “You’re not on EastEnders now.”
Kelly, 55, said he and the star both ended up on a park floor as the row turned into a brawl.
