EastEnders ‘d.e.a.t.h’ rocks Walford – but BBC viewers all issue same complaint

EastEnders fans watched the police confirm Nish Panesar's "death" during the latest episode of the BBC One soap but viewers were all left saying the same thing about the announcement

EastEnders viewers have all said the the same thing after watching into the latest instalment of the BBC One soap Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and the Panesars got ready for their joint hen do during Monday’s (December 30) episode, which is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

However, the celebrations were cut short when the police arrived to inform them that there’s been a sighting of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) in Walford. Fearing for their safety, Suki got cold feet about her wedding to Eve. Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) sneaked out to tell grandad Nish, who manipulated him into helping throw the police and Suki off his scent.

The police later shared the news that Nish was spotted walking into the river and they believe he’s drowned.

Suki insisted that she won’t believe it until she sees her ex-husband’s body. However, after a pep talk from Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), Suki decided to go ahead with the wedding as planned. Meanwhile, Nish continued to manipulate Nugget.

Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out a blunder from the episode. One person posted: “Are the police a wee bit stupid? Didn’t even find a body and they’re saying Nish is d.e.a.d.”
