Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ when Sarah Sugden d.i.e.s in tragic twist – and it’s soon
Emmerdale’s Sarah Sugden has her fair share of health issues - and fans are convinced the soap has dropped a clue as to when she d.i.e.s
Emmerdale fans reckon they know when Sarah Sugden will d.i.e in a heartbreaking twist.
As the daughter of Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) and Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb), it’s fair to say Sarah’s (Katie Hill) time in the Dales has not been short of drama. The character has spent the majority of her life in and out of hospital due to a life-changing diagnosis.
Sarah learned she has a rare genetic disease called Fanconi anaemia. She was given the diagnosis when she was just six years old. This led to her needing a life-saving bone marrow transplant and also a heart transplant, which left her fearful she wouldn’t have as long a life as some of her fellow residents.
As well as that Sarah has battled cancer twice and in 2018, she collapsed and was suffering from heart failure. It came from a side effect of chemotherapy.
Despite her tragic health, things appeared to look up for Sarah in the Dales recently. In the past few episodes, she has grown closer and closer to Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
However, he ended up putting the brakes on their romance, revealing he didn’t want to lose another girlfriend, referring to his ex Leanna (Mimi Slinger) who was murdered by Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu). Sarah was left heartbroken by Jacob’s confession.
Now, soap fans are convinced that Sarah will sadly d.i.e soon in what would be a heartbreaking twist. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “Do we know how long Sarah has left?”
A second person said: “She probably won’t live to see 30 and it’s been said most of the time. I think they’re k.i.l.l.i.n.g her off soon tbh as that could be Sarah’s grave that Cain is standing at.”
A third added: “Have they ever mentioned Sarah dying so much? Foreshadowing her d.e.a.t.h maybe?” Another agreed: “Irregardless of her life expectancy, Sarah herself has said multiple times that she probably won’t live past 21.
“This has been said at various times since her cancer and heart transplant. I don’t know if this is the writer’s foreshadowing or just the fears of a young girl dealt a bad hand.”
