Viewers know Amit has serious financial issues and is in debt to some very dangerous people.

He was trying to relive Eric of some of hsi retirement investment in order to pay them off but when Eric smelled a rat, Amit turned threatening.

Amit’s threats intrigued Eric and he, Vinny Dingle and Rodney Blackstock teamed up to expose him.

Tonight Eric broke into the Sharma house to find evidence but was caught by Amit and Jai.

Amit managed to talk his way out of it, insisting Eric’s Parkinson’s diagnosis meant he was losing it.

And Jai, suddenly all in on Team Amit, decided to believe him, pitying Eric.

A gloating Amit approached Eric at the Woolpack to taunt him once more saying: “You look after yourself, eh. Poor old addled Eric.”

With Amit gone, Eric told Vinny: “The man is ruthless. You should hear the lies he’s fed Jai about me, totally convincing.

“He even hoodwinked the police a couple of months ago. I can’t stop thinking about the person who lived in the house before. Found at the bottom of the stairs. Dead.”

Vinny replied: “Rishi? You think Amit killed Rishi?”

“After what I’ve seen today?” replied Eric adding: “I know that he’s capable of it.”

But with Eric on the trail of exposing the truth, will Amit take desperate action to shut him up permanently?
