Emmerdale: ‘work out’ Caleb’s revenge plan for Ruby and Cain – but it ends in m.u.r.d.e.r
Emmerdale’s Caleb "is onto" Ruby and Cain, according to soap fans and is planning something d.e.a.d.l.y
Emmerdale viewers are certain Caleb Miligan is “playing” his wife Ruby Fox-Miligan and brother Cain Dingle, following their affair.
Last year, Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Cain (Jeff Hordley) shocked fans when they slept together. At the time, Cain’s wife Moira (Natalie J. Robb) was having an operation for her brain tumour.
Ruby meanwhile, was struggling with the arrival of her estranged father Anthony Fox (Anthony Fox) – with it later being that he revealed he raped her as a teenager and is the father of her daughter Steph (Georgia Jay).
Since their shock s.e.x.u.a.l encounter, Ruby and Cain have continued to spiral, riddled with guilt while to keep their tryst under wraps. However, Anthony later found out about the pair.
Earlier this week, after finding out that Anthony is Steph’s father, Caleb was out for revenge. At Moira’s farm, he held Anthony at gunpoint and threatened to k.i.l.l him unless he confessed to his sick crimes.
However, Anthony ended up revealing to Caleb that Ruby and Cain slept together – leaving Caleb stunned by the revelation. Anthony then made a grab for Caleb’s gun as a g.u.n.s.h.o.t could be heard before the episode ended.
In Wednesday’s instalment (January 22), it was revealed that Anthony had managed to escape and luckily Caleb wasn’t shot. Cain soon arrived at the farm though, startled to see Caleb.
Caleb then cryptically started talking about consequences – and when Cain’s back was turned, Caleb shakily pointed the gun at him. He didn’t go through with shooting down his brother though.
Now, fans are convinced Caleb believes Anthony and is planning revenge on Ruby and Cain – and it’s not looking good for them.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person penned: “Caleb may seek revenge and have an affair as he clearly half believes Anthony re the affair.”
Someone else added: Yeah he definitely believes him.” A third chimed in and mused: “I think he’ll let Ruby off but Cain not so much.” Another fan then suggested Caleb could resort to m.u.r.d.e.r.
They penned: “He might k.i.l.l him?” A fifth wrote: “I hope not but you never know with Emmerdale…” Another also said: “ Yes I think Caleb will m.u.r.d.e.r Cain and the flash-forwards are just red herrings.” Someone else suggested: “Or it backfires and Caleb’s the one that dies which would explain the flash-forward.”
