EastEnders: ‘work out’ confession tape clue that will expose k.i.l.l.e.r Reiss

EastEnders fans are convinced they have worked out how Bianca will be freed from her hostage nightmare.

EastEnders icon Bianca Jackson, played by Patsy Palmer, has admitted to Debbie’s murder in a desperate attempt to liberate her sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) from jail. However, sharp-eyed viewers believe the confession video will vindicate her and reveal captor Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) as the m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r.

Since November, Bianca has been held captive in a storage lockup after discovering damning evidence that Reiss m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d his wife Debbie. Pregnant Sonia was apprehended for the crime and detained on remand awaiting trial.

This week, Walford locals rallied in court to back Sonia as her m.u.r.d.e.r trial commenced. The situation worsened when Sonia collapsed, convinced she couldn’t continue fighting for her freedom.

She believed pleading guilty would be best for both her and her unborn child. Reiss, desperate to free Sonia, left Bianca with an opportunity to secure her own release.

She agreed to take the fall for Debbie’s m.u.r.d.e.r if it meant her freedom and Sonia’s release. Bianca recorded a confession on a mobile phone, which Reiss then sent to himself using a VPN to prevent tracing, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) returned to the courtroom, shocked to see Sonia ready to plead guilty. Suddenly, Reiss made a dramatic entrance, claiming he had new evidence, leading to another adjournment of the trial.

The lawyer then broke the distressing news that even though Bianca’s tape had been submitted to the CPS, it could take weeks for it to be deemed admissible. Therefore, the jury could only rely on their prior knowledge when determining Sonia’s guilt.

On Thursday (January 23), Sonia was acquitted of Debbie’s m.u.r.d.e.r and is now a free woman, while Bianca remains behind bars. However, EastEnders fans have highlighted that the confession tape was recorded in the storage unit among Debbie’s belongings, including her dollhouse, which could prove Reiss’ guilt and Bianca’s innocence.

One viewer took to X and noted: “In the back In the mirror is the dolls house Debbie left Reiss! This is how it’s all gunna unfold!!!” (sic)

Another chimed in: “If Bianca is wearing Debbie’s clothes in the confession video, that’ll be Reiss’s undoing. #EastEnders.” (sic)

A third questioned: “So… no one found that ‘confession’ suspicious? #EastEnders.” (sic)

“My theory is that they’ll spot the things in the background (mirror, dolls house) and realise she’s surrounded in Debbie’s belongings and find her (also it’s clearly a hostage video too lol),” one fan speculated. (sic)

“THE DOLL HOUSE! Bianca overheard Debbie’s mum mention the dolls house during a disagreement with Reiss when she was earwigging at the door! #EastEnders,” another exclaimed. (sic)

EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer at 7:30pm
