EastEnders icon makes long-awaited return to Walford – but faces uncomfortable truths
EastEnders fans have been left scratching their heads over the storyline of Reiss Colwell's m.u.r.d.e.r of his comatose wife Debbie, which saw Sonia Fowler in the frame

However, tensions ramp up with Sonia is confronted by her gossiping Walford neighbours as she defiantly defends her sister. Sonia reaches out to the CPS in order to try and get a copy of the confession tape, leaving Reiss rattled.
Pregnant Sonia later talks to her police officer uncle Jack Branning, which sparks Sonia’s suspicion that Reiss isn’t being completely honest with her. She goes on to confront Reiss, but he manipulates her once again.
Pulling the wool over Sonia’s eyes, Reiss makes his pregnant fiancé feel guilty about ever doubting him. However, as dramatic scenes are set to unfold and viewers are yet to find out if Reiss will ever be exposed, some fans have a theory on his downfall.
Some beady-eyed viewers have noticed Debbie’s dolls house can be seen in the background of Bianca’s confession tape. One said: “In the back In the mirror is the dolls house Debbie left Reiss! This is how it’s all gunna unfold!!!”
Another added: “THE DOLL HOUSE! Bianca overheard Debbie’s mum mention the dolls house during a disagreement with Reiss when she was earwigging at the door! #EastEnders”. While a third said: “My theory is that they’ll spot the things in the background (mirror, dolls house) & realise she’s surrounded in Debbie’s belongings and find her (also it’s clearly a hostage video too lol)”.
EastEnders icon Sonia Fowler is set to make a long-awaited return to Walford next week.
Sonia, played by Natalie Cassidy, was acquitted for murder in dramatic EastEnders scenes last week. The pregnant nurse was moments away from pleading guilty to her fiancé Reiss Colwell’s wife Debbie’s murder when Reiss stormed the courtroom and unveiled new evidence which exonerated Sonia.
Sonia was found not guilty after Reiss showed up to court and produced a ‘confession’ video. Sonia’s sister Bianca Jackson, who is currently being held captive by Reiss, hatched a plan to confess to Debbie’s m.u.r.d.e.r in order to free both herself and her pregnant sister.
Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer, has been held hostage by Reiss since November after she discovered he was the real murderer. The confession tape may have secured Sonia’s freedom but, as she returns to Albert Square, Walford in scenes next week she’ll be confronted by some uncomfortable truths.
Sonia is seen struggling to get her head around her sister’s confession rape and refuses to believe Bianca is capable of murder – but Reiss continues to shut down her questions.
