ITV Emmerdale reveals new detail about Anthony’s last moments as Aaron ‘in the clear’
Emmerdale gave fans an update on Anthony Fox tonight as Aaron Dingle and John Sugden continued to cover up the m.u.r.d.e.r - with viewers convinced someone else is to blame
Emmerdale fans watched tonight – as Aaron Dingle continued to struggle in the wake of Anthony Fox’s d.e.a.t.h.
Aaron saw red when he confronted villain Anthony about what he had done to Ruby and left him for dead, his body bloodied and bruised. Convinced he had k.i.l.l.e.d him, Aaron headed back to John Sugden, who vowed to help him.
Terrified he’d killed Anthony, Aaron begged John to help him and he soon stepped in and disposed of the body, but accidentally left a tooth of Anthony’s that Aaron had knocked out – could this be his undoing?
The pair had to set to work to hide the fact Anthony was dead and tonight, they were seen trying to make it look like Anthony had left the village rather than d.i.e.d there – as suspicion continues to grow about his whereabouts.
However, fans are convinced that Aaron didn’t actually k.i.l.l Anthony, and that someone else wielded the fatal blow.
Aaron thought he k.i.l.l.e.d Anthony – but did he?
One fan wrote: “Having the entire Ruby historic abuse storyline end up being about John and Aaron trying to cover up a m.u.r.d.e.r is just not it. Hoping it improves! #Emmerdale,” whilst a second added: “Ffs Aaron better not be sent down for this I think someone else did it #emmerdale.” A third shared: “It’s probably not Aaron who killed Anthony, but I would love if it is Chances are it’ll be someone obvious like Caleb, Steph (if she found out her “grandad” was actually her dad) or Ruby.”
“I’m not thrilled they’ve turned Aaron into a murderer, I’m hoping it’s actually not going to be him that k.i.l.l.e.d Anthony. #Emmerdale,” another shared, with a fifth adding: “Someone came and finished Anthony off. Not believing it was all Aaron’s doing #Emmerdale.”
Danny previously admitted he can never be sure about his future on Emmerdale, after making a big return to the show.
Speaking about the big storyline, actor Danny Miller – who plays Aaron – shared of his future on the soap: “You only sign a year’s contract at a time. There could be a day where they say: ‘there won’t be another year’s contract after this’, which would be a horrendous meeting to have. But I will always respect that this could be a possibility. It makes you enjoy the job even more not knowing when it could or could not come to an end. I never take anything for granted.”
