Emmerdale: ‘work out’ Cain Dingle’s second affair – and it’s with unexpected villager
Emmerdale's Cain Dingle has been a huge part of the ITV soap since 2000 - and it looks like there is more to come for the Dingle bad boy
Emmerdale fans are speculating a steamy affair between Cain Dingle and an unexpected villager.
Cain, played by Jeff Hordley, has been a constant in the famous village since 2000. As part of the iconic Dingle family, Cain’s character has been involved in numerous major storylines on the soap. From affairs to m.u.r.d.e.r, his stint in the Dales has been anything but dull.
Last year, Cain surprised viewers when he had a one-night stand with Ruby Fox-Miligan, portrayed by Beth Cordingly. At that time, Cain’s wife Moira, played by Natalie J.
Robb, was undergoing surgery for her brain tumour. Ruby, on the other hand, was dealing with the arrival of her estranged father Anthony Fox, played by Anthony Fox.
It was later disclosed that Anthony had abused Ruby during her teenage years and is the biological father of her daughter Steph, played by Georgia Jay. Since their shocking s.e.x.u.a.l encounter, Ruby and Cain have been on a downward spiral, filled with guilt while trying to keep their secret affair hidden, reports Leicestershire Live.
However, Anthony eventually discovered about the pair. Last week, after Anthony’s horrific crimes were revealed, Caleb sought revenge.
During a tense confrontation, Anthony exposed Ruby and Cain’s secret to Caleb. Although Caleb hasn’t mentioned the affair to either Ruby or Cain since then, fans believe he trusts Anthony’s words and is plotting some sort of revenge against Cain.
However, considering the challenging past few months for Cain, other viewers predict he’s about to embark on a new romantic adventure in the village – and it’s with someone who fans would least expect.
“Will Cain cheat on Moira again?” pondered one fan on an Emmerdale Facebook group. Another chimed in with: “We thought Cain wasn’t the cheating type until his one-night stand with Ruby, so probably!”
Fans are speculating on who the other woman might be, with many betting on Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh). “It will be with Tracy you watch…” predicted a third, while another added: “True she’s not had a storyline for a while.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
