ITV Emmerdale Paula Lane reveals what Ella Forster is hiding – and it changes everything

Emmerdale’s latest arrival Ella Forster is hiding a big secret that changes everything.

Paula Lane, best known to soap fans for playing Kylie Platt on Coronation Street for several years, joined the cast of Emmerdale earlier this year as newbie Ella. She befriended Mandy Dingle at a work event but as a result of her bold stance against her boss, she ended up losing her job. However, when she arrived in the Dales, she soon settled in and is now working as a receptionist at the surgery.

She has most recently struck up a romance with Dr Liam Cavanagh but fans are convinced she is hiding something and she’s not as nice as it may seem. Many are convinced she’s somehow connected to serial killer Meena.

Now Paula has opened up about what secret her character is hiding, and teased she has a connection to someone outside the village, but who is it, and will this person make their way to the village soon?

“Ella does have a past that is going to be revealed. She does have responsibilities elsewhere outside the village that mean a great deal to her and I’m so looking forward to exploring this further,” she explained to Digital Spy.

“When something or someone so important to her is put at risk she will fight so hard to protect that situation. This is a part of her we’ve yet to see and there is currently a lot at stake and a lot to fight for.”

When she arrived in the Dales, Paula teased that she’d be at the centre of a love triangle.

“There’s already been a relationship going on there at the minute in the surgery. So I don’t know. There might be some fireworks, there’s a little bit of competition, perhaps. Little love triangle going on. But behind closed doors, who knows what can happen. So there’s a brand new set that we’re actually building, surgery is going to be on Main Street. And that’s when all this character will kind of come in, I’m going to be at the heart of the village, working out the new surgery,” she said.
