Power Shift? Hayden Refuses to Stay in Gary’s Shadow in “Sistas”!
Sistas Season 6, Episode 17 Clip Breakdown
So, they dropped a new clip, and honestly, I don’t even know what to make of it. Hayden is still obsessing over Tamara cheating on him with Gary—to the point that even when they’re intimate, he can’t stop picturing Gary being with her. He throws out some interesting dialogue, calling Gary a “narcissistic bastard,” to which Tamara responds, “Look, I’m an MFer, but there are certain lines I won’t cross.”
And I’m just sitting here thinking… Hayden, weren’t you the one who tried to ruin Zac’s life just to get with Fatima—who, by the way, was already done with you after a one-night stand? Let’s not forget, he had another guy plant drugs in Zac’s truck and snitch to the police, setting him up for a third strike that could’ve taken him out for good. And while he might not have directly called the cops, Karen filing a warrant for Zac’s arrest only added fuel to the fire.
Yet, somehow, Hayden doesn’t see himself as the villain. But then again, he’s always been the hero in his own story. Now, he’s suddenly done being Gary’s sidekick? Hate to break it to you, Hayden, but even though Sistas is the show’s title, Season 7 basically became The Gary Show. And no matter how much you hate it, you’re never going to be on that level.
At the end of the day, Hayden’s just bitter. He can’t wrap his head around why all these women—Andy, Penelope, and now Tamara—are going crazy over Gary instead of him. Simple as that.
Also, I’m still trying to make sense of this whole Zac and Fatima plan. They’re supposed to figure out a way to turn Hayden and Gary against each other so Agent Watt shifts his focus. But based on this clip, it’s just not adding up. Even Tamara’s fine self can’t distract me from how confusing this is.
And can we talk about the clip length? This one was barely a minute and a half, yet they gave us four whole minutes of the bank scene. Like, when I watch the full episode tonight, I already know I’ll be tuning out when that part comes up—probably taking a bathroom break or grabbing a drink.
Since it’s Wednesday, we’ll likely get two more clips and some promo photos before the episode drops. But based on what I’ve seen so far, I don’t think the ratings are improving anytime soon.
