ITV Emmerdale fans all say the same thing after Aaron Dingle’s violent outburst

Emmerdale fans were left saying the same thing tonight after Aaron Dingle's violent outburst, as the truth about his health was finally revealed to his mum Chas

Emmerdale fans have been left gutted by Aaron Dingle’s actions after he punched Dr Liam Cavanagh.

On Monday night’s episode (April 1), Aaron was still trying to hide his test results from his mum Chas Dingle after finding out he had inherited her faulty BRCA2 gene. A few weeks back, Chas underwent a mastectomy to prevent any signs of cancer from reoccurring but until tonight she was unaware that her son also tested for the gene.

During the episode, Liam went to visit Charity to see how she was feeling. But their conversation quickly turned to Aaron.

With Liam fully aware of Aaron’s situation, he appeared to let slip that something was wrong. Working things out quickly, Chas then became aware that Aaron was hiding the truth about his test results.

When they spoke later, Chas gently demanded Aaron to tell her the truth and he later confirmed he did have the faulty gene, leaving her upset. But Aaron was not too happy that Liam had let slip about the test and later, he went over to see him and confronted him.

Going over to the doctor’s surgery, Aaron wanted to find out why Liam had told Chas and said she would be worrying about him more now she knew. But before Liam could explain himself, Arron punched him in the mouth.

Seeing Aaron’s angry reaction, fans shared their thoughts online. One viewer said: “Aaron that’s out of order! He only done something you should have done weeks ago. Plus he didn’t actually tell Chas he gave a hint.”

A second added: “Angry p***k Aaron’s back again, he needs to grow up.” A third shared: “Really thought that Aaron had turned a corner, he only meant well! #emmerdale.”

While another shared: “Aaron in his 30s writers got to address this. Recycling Aaron bad behaviour doesn’t make Aaron sympathetic he is so unlikeable. This show has three other adult gay male characters. I with Ethan, Nicky, and Suni got spotlight. Aaron pity party is annoying.”

When actor Danny Miller had earlier found out that his character Aaron had the faulty gene, he feared being killed off the ITV soap. He told Daily Star and other press: “My first thought about this story was, ‘I’ve just moved to Leeds, please don’t kill me off!

“There are people who just have bad luck, which follows them. So I knew what they were going to say when it was the three of them [Cain Dingle, Caleb Milligan and his character Aaron] who take the gene test. remember saying, ‘It’s me that gets it, isn’t it?”

He also said: “I don’t think Aaron realises the seriousness of it straight away. Aaron’s always been one of those people who doesn’t like constant eyes and attention on him.

“If he were to tell people when he’s not dealt with it himself, he’s likely to get a lot of people asking if he’s alright, which is the worst question you can ask him. Right now, only Chas is in on the secret, but Danny has let slip that Paddy and Chas will be the only ones he’ll open up to, as they’re the top two he trusts in the whole village.

He added: “Aaron’s been keeping things close to his chest since he got back and looks set to keep it that way.”
