What happened to Liv in Emmerdale as fans fear history will repeat itself with Aaron Dingle

Emmerdale fans are worried they're about to lose Aaron Dingle after the loss of his half sister Liv Dingle, who died in sad scenes over a year ago

Emmerdale fans are fearful that Aaron Dingle could meet the same fate as his half-sister Liv Dingle.

Liv was killed in a harrowing accident during the infamous Emmerdale storm, when she found herself trapped between a caravan and a wall. She died surrounded by her loved ones and held the hand of her husband Vinny Dingle as she passed away.

In the heartbreaking scenes, Vinny stayed with her as the doctors told them there was nothing they could do and she had suffered fatal injuries and if they had moved the caravan, it would end in her dying anyway as her lower body had been crushed and the caravan was keeping her alive. Paddy warned both Aaron and Vinny not to touch the caravan and they both took time to say goodbye to Liv, as they shared the good times they had each experienced with her.

The scenes marked actress Isobel Steele’s final appearance on the ITV soap. Speaking at the time, she “Hey everyone. I assume you have now watched the episode where Liv’s died. I hope it made you cry. I definitely cried when I read it and it’s been a pleasure. It’s been the best seven years of my life and yeah, it’s all been worth it because of you. So thank you so much.”

After the episode aired, Danny posted a sweet tribute to Isobel. He wrote: “The moment that young girl walked into the room and delivered what was an outstanding performance. Myself and everyone in that very room knew we had a rising star on our hands.

“Now, she leaves a woman with the world at her feet. My best friend, my little sister, my Liv. Thank you for the last 7 years. The bond Aaron & Liv had was incomparable. Nobody ever came close. And that’s why you’ll always be in my life.”

There have been fears Aaron might be killed off too after he found out he had inherited the faulty BRCA2 gene from his mum Chas.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he said: “My first thought about this story was, ‘I’ve just moved to Leeds, please don’t kill me off!’ There are people who just have bad luck, which follows them. So I knew what they were going to say when it was the three of them [Cain Dingle, Caleb Milligan and his character Aaron] who take the gene test. I remember saying, ‘It’s me that gets it, isn’t it?’

“I don’t think Aaron realises the seriousness of it straight away. Aaron’s always been one of those people who doesn’t like constant eyes and attention on him. If he were to tell people when he’s not dealt with it himself, he’s likely to get a lot of people asking if he’s alright, which is the worst question you can ask him.”
