EastEnders ‘reveals’ who attacked Cindy Beale – as she confronts them in dramatic showdown
Fans are certain they've cracked the long-running mystery
EASTENDERS has ‘revealed’ the identity of Cindy Beale’s attacker – as she confronted them in a dramatic showdown.
At Christmas, an unidentified attacker hit the soap legend – played by Michelle Collins – over the head with a shovel.
Tonight’s episode saw Cindy certain that her ex-husband Ian (Adam Woodyatt) was responsible.
Left fearing for her safety, she went to No.45 armed with Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) gun.
Although viewers saw a figure holding Cindy’s stolen locket – which had been taken after the attack – this individual’s face was not shown.
Despite this, fans are convinced they know this mystery person’s identity.
They believe it is Cindy’s long-absent daughter, Cindy Williams (Mimi Keene).
One person wrote on X: “Mimi Keene took back the Cindy jr role just to get shot in her 1st scene.”
Another added: “who tf is holding that locket? is cindy jr back with a vengeance?”
A third penned: “unless this is reiss then i think the person who attacked cindy is someone coming back like cindy jr…”
While a fourth chimed in: “That has to be Cindy JR… it has to be.”
As a fifth remarked: “oh it’s definitely cindy jr OH ITS DEFINITELY HER.”
Earlier in the episode, Ian and Cindy had a heated conversation in the café.
Cindy revealed her suspicions of Ian and declared she was “coming for” him.
In response, Ian suggested she leave Walford altogether – saying all she had there was people who hate her.
Later on, Cindy interrupted Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Honey (Emma Barton) wedding celebrations in The Queen Vic.
She told Ian he was “finished” in front of their friends, family and neighbours.
Cindy added: “I am calling the police, they’re going to search No.45 and they will find that locket!”
Ian re-iterated that he wasn’t responsible, leading Cindy out of the Vic as she continued to accuse him.
Was Ian who Cindy found in No.45 and if not – who is it?
EastEnders continues on BBC One and iPlayer.
