Emmerdale’s Amy Wyatt d.e.a.d as star ‘exits’ soap?
Emmerdale fans have been left fearing the worst for Emmerdale’s Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) after she was left lifeless under a frozen lake, apparently d.e.a.d.
The popular character, who has been in the show for six years, was caught up in the much publicised stunt.
After Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) crashed the car on its way to a night out, it dipped into a cracked lake, with sub zero temperatures beneath.
While most of the women made it to safety, Amy tried desperately and fearfully to cross the cracking lake.
She was then plunged into the freezing water, where she came up against a rotting d.e.a.d body.
But it was her own life she had to fight for as she swam desperately to the top, only to find herself trapped by ice.
She banged desperately on it, but she soon looked like she had lost her battle as she passed out and began drifting downwards to a watery grave.
When her body is pulled out, will she be d.e.a.d.? Or can she be saved from a terrible fate?
‘These episodes should prove to be absolutely spectacular!’ actress Natalie Ann enthused. ‘Emmerdale have pulled out all the stops. There are a lot of special effects. There is ice – there is water – there are crashes – there is just about every weather you could dream up – there is peril, there is danger – there is death and injuries.
‘The hospital’s going to be so busy. I would say it’s probably the most soapy week of soap done in the most spectacular way. The viewers will experience high drama, they will experience peril but they will also experience fun and giggles, as we always do in Emmerdale plus tragedy – we’re going for everything these episodes.
‘I can’t wait for the viewers to see them. We had limousines, green screens, and night shoots. We were there in the dark and cold. It’s definitely worth tuning in for just to see what the actors had to go through.’
On performing the intense scenes, she added: ‘It’s so much fun! Sometimes, you never in your whole career get to do something like this so being in an episode where there’s stunts and big massive things going on, you could be on a Hollywood film set.
‘It’s really special, many actors go their whole lives without experiencing that so it’s lots of fun for us and unexpected.’
However, little fun is being had for Amy and those who love her. It’s not looking good but perhaps hope is not lost…
