ITV Emmerdale fans ‘fear’ double d.e.a.t.h tragedy for Cain Dingle after horror crash

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have worked out a heartbreaking twist for Cain Dingle as the aftermath of the limousine crash continues to rock the village

Emmerdale fans have been gripped with worry over Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), amid fears he might receive devastating news regarding his family. This follows the chilling episodes where a limo, carrying several of the soap’s beloved characters, careered into an icy lake after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) swerved to dodge her son Noah (Jack Downham).

The distressing turn of events on Monday confirmed Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) had perished in the crash, dying upon impact.

Adding to the turmoil, Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) was seen desperately striving to escape the clutches of the ice-cold water after being ensnared underneath. In an eerie twist, she wasn’t alone under the ice – there lurked a lifeless body.

However, a tense moment saw Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) break through the ice in a valiant rescue mission, pulling Amy out and ensuring the latter was promptly taken to hospital for urgent care.

The horror didn’t end there – during Wednesday’s episode (February 19), available on ITVX, the show dealt another blow as Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) was tragically declared d.e.a.d upon reaching the hospital.

Her son Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) is left shattered when a doctor reveals that Leyla succumbed to “severe blood loss” from a gruesome impalement, reports Leeds Live.

Other lives on the line include Noah and Amy, both fighting for survival in the hospital, along with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), who suffered a head injury during the impact.

As Amy confronts the risk of hypothermia, the episode ends with her in critical need of emergency aid, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.

Emmerdale viewers are now on tenterhooks as speculation mounts that Amy will meet a grim fate, orphaning her young son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), shared with Cain Dingle.

Moreover, the fandom is abuzz with theories that the enigmatic corpse under the ice is Cain’s other son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter)—the rationale being that a bracelet identical to one his daughter Frankie crafted was spotted on the cadaver.

A viewer ventured on social media: “Who was that body Amy encountered in that watery grave. Nate I reckon #emmerdale.”

Another one asserted: “RIP Nate Robinson. The arm that floats up to Amy’s is Nate’s. Emmerdale made a point of showing Tracey and Nate wearing their bracelets that Frankie made them #Emmerdale.”

An additional fan put forth: “Nate maybe the body in the lake” accompanied by a sad emoji. When discussing Amy, a different individual remarked: “She can’t possibly still be alive in the morning after being under ice all night surely.”

Some even voiced concern over the narrative tension: “Emmerdale, you are stressing me out this week with all these cliff-hangers. Please be okay Amy #emmerdale”, another chimed in.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
